Man Buys Home To Resell, ALARMING Find In Concrete Urgently Changes Plans

A Texas man purchased a home several months ago with the intention of remodeling it to sell, but things took an interesting twist during the renovation. As he and a friend were breaking apart a concrete slab in the back yard, they made an alarming find that forced them to immediately call police.
Fred Robertson bought the home, which was known for its troubled history in the neighborhood, over the past summer, and his plan from the start was to renovate it for resale, reports CBSDFW. However, on Thursday afternoon, Robertson and another man were at the house working to break apart a concrete slab when they made a rather troubling discovery.
Apparently, as the men were breaking up the concrete, they came across what appeared to be a human body and immediately notified law enforcement. Robertson declined to comment, but police confirmed the grisly remains looked human, and they were brought back to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s office to be examined.
As troubling as the find was, neighbor Chris Cook said that people in the neighborhood were prepared for just about anything from the home. According to Cook, the previous owner was nothing but trouble, and police would frequent the home quite often for disturbances.
“My kids would walk through here and for no reason he would chase them,” said Sofia Garcia.
But at some point over the last year or so, the man suddenly vanished. Cook said he had some shady tenants, but he declined to elaborate as to who he believed might be buried in the concrete.
“We haven’t seen him for 9 months. For a while he was renting to some real seedy characters and I know there was conflict and he threw them out,” said Cook. “There’s no telling who is under that slab.”
I couldn’t imagine buying a home, only to start renovating it and discover human remains buried in a concrete slab. Not only would it give me the chills just thinking about it, but I would be suspicious of the entire home and undoubtedly wonder if there were any more surprises to be had. That’s not to mention, I can’t imagine that the neighbors have a good feeling about it either, considering that it appears a murder took place right in their neighborhood and nobody knew about it.
