A boyfriend who was denied sex by his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day was thrown out of the Ritz after he attacked her.
Shannon Fidge said she was not in the mood for it after they had a row over dinner, so Rhys Weathburn, 20, flipped out.
He told her: ‘We are in a hotel, we are going to have sex.’
Shannon shouted for help and Weatherburn was escorted from the hotel,
smashing a glass door panel on the way, Westminster magistrates heard.
Prosecutor Nicola Flint told the court after their meal he left her
on her own in central London for around 10 minutes before they returned
to the hotel.

When they got back to her room he told her to ‘f**king shut up’.
Miss Flint said: ‘Weatherburn shook her arms aggressively and pushed her onto the bed.
‘The complainant was worried about how far the defendant would go and called out for help.’
Another guest heard the cries and alerted the hotel staff who threw Weatherburn out.
Ms Flint said police had twice previously been called out to deal
with domestic incidents with Weatherburn and Miss Fidge after he had
been drinking.
Weatherburn who addressed the bench as ‘you guys’ said: ‘I genuinely
feel that you need to get an understanding from me about my character
and what I am doing around the issue that has quite clearly been
unearthed about myself and my relationship with alcohol.’
He said he had woken up in a police cell with ‘precisely zero recollection’ of the night before.

‘I understand I have a severe and very, very serious problem with alcohol and how it affects me when I have consumed to excess.’
Weatherburn said he had been to see a hypnotherapist and a psychotherapist to help him with his drinking problem.
‘My own girlfriend is going to stand by me and stay with me,’ he
said. ‘She knows that it was not me that night, it was me under a
horrible influence.’
But the prosecutor said Miss Fidge, from Maidstone, Kent, was
currently ‘not sure whether or not they will remain in a relationship’.
Weatherburn admitted assault by beating and criminal damage to property.
He will be sentenced on March 2.
