His mum described the whole experience as ‘horrifying’ and no wonder.
Evan Waters was about eat a banana from Aldi when he was bitten by a mystery spider leaving him with temporary paralysis in his right hand.

The two-year-old was rushed to hospital screaming in agony after his hand swelled up ‘like a balloon’.
He was hospitalised for two days and still has blisters, a high heart rate and temperature.
It’s believed the spider got into the fruit while it was awaiting shipment.
Collect of Evan in hospital after the bite. Two-year-old Evan Lee Waters was hospitalised after a spider nesting in a bunch of ALDI bananas bit him, leaving him temporarily without the use of his right hand. Evan from Bishop Auckland in County Durham, was tucking into a banana, when he was bitten by the spider leaving him in excruciating pain. His hand immediately began to swell with his fingers ballooning up, when his mother, Kellie Knight, took him to the nearest hospital. After contacting ALDI and explaining their ordeal, they have been offered four hampers for each child, flowers for Kellie and a £400 cheque. The supermarket chain explained to the mother of four that the spiders are usually European or UK spiders that get into the packaging or products whilst in warehouses. The toddler is only just starting to use his right hand again after the bite that happened on February 3.

His mum Kellie Knight, 29, of Bishop Auckland, said the spider scurried away making it all the more terrifying.
‘His hand blew like a balloon and he was crying for dear life,’ she said.
‘We had just had no idea what was going until we got to the hospital and doctors said it was a spider bite.
‘We didn’t know whether it was a Tarantula, a Black Widow or a Huntsman spider.
‘There is nothing worse than seeing your child like that and not being able to do anything to help. The doctor said…he had never seen anything like it before.’

She has now contacted Environmental Health to her home in case the spider is still there.
Aldi has now given the family four free hampers and £400 in cash.
A spokesman said: ‘Incidents of this nature are extremely rare and we take them seriously.
‘We have apologised to the customer and are investigating this incident with our suppliers.’
