Marc Ellis splits from wife

High-profile couple Marc Ellis and Agustina Mon have ended their nearly decade-long marriage.

Former All Black Marc Ellis and his wife, jewellery designer Agustina Ellis, have split, the Herald on Sunday reports.

The pair have been married nine years, have two children, Sofia, aged 6, and Tomas, 4.

Sources close to the couple told the paper: "No one likes to see this and we hope they can resolve it,” while another said, “We wish them lots of love and luck in getting through this.”

The couple wed at a private ceremony in 2006, a year after the former TV star proposed to the Argentinean beauty. Four years later, they welcomed their first child, Sofia.

The pair hit headlines recently with a multimillion-dollar property they are building in an exclusive gated community on Waiheke Island, which comes with a gym and swimming pool.

It has drawn the wrath of one neighbour regarding earthworks in the building of a new driveway.

Ellis made a reported $18 million from the $100m sale of the Charlie's Juice business he founded with partner Stefan Lepionka, which they sold to Japanese brewing giant Asahi in 2011. He now runs an advertising agency.
