In a new documentary highlighting the incidents that occur in Islam,
there comes the tale of another honor killing by a father, who shot his
daughter in the head, claiming fame for doing so. The mainstream media
usually ignores these occurrences, but not this time. The mind-boggling
twist that followed the shooting of the girl by her father will leave no
doubt that honor killings are at the heart of what needs exposed to
change the ongoing threats to our civilization.
The twist is that the girl, Saba Qaiser from Pakistan, survived a gun shot to her head. Shot and left for dead by her own father, then thrown into a river, the cold water revived her, and she is alive today. Her father, under the evil tenants of Sharia law, was ordered to kill her for falling in love and marrying her boyfriend. This was her crime and her potential death sentence.
As reported by The New York Times:
Then the New York Times throws its liberal air-head readers a bone, stating:

As Robert Spencer writes at Jihad Watch:
After Saba’s father’s release from prison, he boasted that his family’s name was intact, and he can say he is the most popular man in his town for doing his duty, as reported by Daniel Greenfield in FrontPage Magazine.
This leftist mentality of “don’t talk about a religion” is a huge
part of the problem in defeating the Islamic State. Hopefully, this
story and others like it, may bring sound minds to understand the
problem is the Islamic State’s beliefs, which call for Muslims to kill
Western civilization as commanded by their holy book the Quran.

As reported by The New York Times:
Watching the documentary about Saba, “A Girl in the River: The Price of Forgiveness,” I kept thinking that just as in the 19th century the central moral challenge for the world was slavery, and in the 20th century it was totalitarianism, in this century the foremost moral issue is the abuse and oppression that is the lot of so many women and girls around the world. Here is where the mainstream media gets it all wrong. Totalitarianism alone is not the issue in honor killings. It is not the issue which answers the questions regarding the Islamic State. Europe, the Middle East, and Saba Qaiser are not victims of just any totalitarianism. These are the victims of Islam, its totalitarian nature, and its extremists. These are victims of its terrorists, who are encouraged by their “holy book,” the Quran. But blaming Islam is not politically correct. However, the truth has nothing to do with political correctness.
Citing the film, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan has promised to change the country’s laws so as to crack down on honor killings. That’s laughable. Pakistan is going to change the laws outlined by Muhammad in the Quran? Either the author at The New York Times is really naïve, or he really has no clue what is going on in the world. Unfortunately, it’s probably a bit of both.
As Robert Spencer writes at Jihad Watch:
Wrong answer, Kristof (referring to the author of the piece on the New York Times). What got Saba shot was not “totalitarianism,” but the Islamic culture of shame and honor, and the stipulation in Islamic law that there is no penalty for a parent who kills a child. But of course you cannot and will not write about that in the New York Times.Saba survived, and as Pakistani law under Sharia law dictates, her father was only doing his duty. Saba lives now with her husband and his family.
