The 53rd annual Halberg Awards is sure to attract a host of stars, dressed up to the nines as they prepare to celebrate the best of Kiwi sporting talent.

Lydia Ko and the All Blacks are expected to be the big winners of the night, but a massive year of international success means the competition will be hot.

The teenager has stiff competition from cyclist Linda Villumsen, canoer Lisa Carrington and champion swimmer Lauren Boyle.

The 18-year-old golf sensation will be hoping to continue her winning streak, after picking up the Young New Zealander of the Year award last night.

The cricketer had an amazing year, becoming the No.1 ranked test cricket batsman, and breaking the New Zealand record for most runs in a calendar year.
