Emilia
Wickstead, the New Zealand-born, London-based fashion designer favoured
by Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, will appear at this year's iD
Dunedin Fashion Week.
Wickstead will show pieces from her previous two
autumn-winter collections, as well as several couture pieces worn on the
red carpet by celebrities, said event chair Cherry Lucas.
She will also give a public talk about her work and
will join the judging panel for the iD International Emerging Designer
Awards, both to be held on March 17.
"Emilia Wickstead's chic and elegant designs have
created an international following and we're delighted to have her back
in her home country showing at iD," Lucas said.
Others
showing at the event include Zandra Rhodes, Stephen Jones, Akira
Isogawa, Lutz Huelle, Martin Grant and last year's queen of vintage,
Doris Raymond.
Tickets go on sale next week for all iD's major catwalk shows.
Vogue Magazine tweeted last year that Wickstead was fast becoming Hollywood's "new red carpet go-to".
Born in Auckland, Ms Wickstead moved to Milan when she was 14, before studying at London's Central Saint Martins art school.
