Ronan Keating has teased the possibility of – gasp – a Boyzone/Westlife supergroup (Picture: PA)
They might both have split up, but Ronan Keating has been teasing the
possibility of Boyzone and Westlife getting back together to form –
wait for it – a supergroup.
No, we can’t quite believe it either. But speaking to the Press
Association the Irish singer revealed that there are plans in place to
mark Boyzone’s 25th anniversary – and as such didn’t rule it out.
‘The idea’s been thrown around alright. Different collaborations,’ Ronan explained.
‘Not just Westlife, but Girls Aloud and lots of different
collaborations. I don’t know. Maybe, maybe. Never say never to those
sort of things. We’ll see. Not right now, but maybe, maybe we would.
‘It’d be fun I think to do something like that ,definitely,’ he added.

Of course we can’t underestimate how exciting it would be if the boys
did all get together, McBusted style, to form a supergroup.
In fact Ronan isn’t the only Boyzone member who’s hinted at it – as Shane Lynch has also been teasing the idea on Twitter:
BOYZONE & WESTLIFE i guess this is kinda what the press conference would look like if #Ireland joins forces
Meanwhile the singer admitted he missed his fellow bandmates – and that they would do something to mark their quarter-century.
‘We’re not really sure yet,’ he admitted when it came to the form of celebration.

‘I mean, we’re looking at different ideas whether it’s an album or a
tour, or what it’s going to be, but we’ll definitely mark it somehow and
it’ll be a Boyzone extravaganza as per usual.’
We can’t wait…
