But in any case, that shop has been forced to close after an army of thrifty Britons bought literally all the stock.
It’s a temporary closure, of course. Bargain-hunters will only have to wait until Friday to raid the Park Royal, north London store for cut-price goods.

Sir Stelios said at the time of easyFoodstore’s launch: ‘Given my experience in distributing food for free in Greece and Cyprus, this is a more commercial attempt to sell basic food for 25p per item to those less well-off in the Park Royal, London area.’
The shop sells everything from digestive biscuits, tea, chickpeas and sardines to jaffa cakes and ginger nuts.
