In an hilarious interview with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, Tyga, who took part in a skit in which he was banned from the green room – said he had “no knowledge” Sir Paul was turned away.
“I was inside performing, I was paid to perform,” he said. “Blame the Fire Marshalls.”
The 25-year-old rapper hosted an after-party following Monday night's Grammy Awards. However, he hit headlines for all the wrong reasons when Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney was denied entry to the bash at Hollywood's Argyle nightclub.
The Beatles legend was with his wife Nancy Shevell, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins and Beck when they attempted to get into the bash at Argyle in Hollywood after the Los Angeles ceremony on Monday night.
McCartney and his pals' attempts to get in were caught on video and the 'Get Back' rocker - who has won more than 20 Grammys - is heard saying to the security guards: "How VIP do we gotta get? We need another hit, guys. We need another hit."
However, Tyga insists he had no idea that Paul was trying to get into the party, saying: "I actually got paid to go and perform. I really didn't have no knowledge what was going on. I just showed up."
Tyga has now taken to his Twitter account to absolve himself of blame for McCartney's snub insisting he would have been honoured to have one of The Fab Four at his bash.

I don't control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left.
The 28-year-old rapper tweeted: "Why would I deny @PaulMcCartney stop it. He's a legend ... I don't control the door. I had no knowledge SIR PAUL was there. I just performed and left."
McCartney didn't let the bash block spoil his night and his wife and friends left the Argyle and headed to Hyde for the Republic Records party.
A spokesperson for the Argyle has since come forward to insist the entire incident was simply a location mix up.
According to the representative, the music trio attempted to get in through a side door, but bouncers didn't allow them to go in since it was an exit door that must remain closed at all times.
The rep explains that when the security guard finally agreed to let them in, Sir Paul asked, "Is this the Mark Ronson party?", to which the guard confirmed it wasn't, prompting the musicians to head to their originally intended bash.
At the Republic Records fete, a source tells Entertainment Tonight Sir Paul "danced the night away" with his wife Nancy Shevell. Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Selena Gomez, Lorde, and Ariana Grande were also spotted at the event.
