There are just five bachelorettes remaining on The Bachelor NZ -
Kate, Gabs, Erin, Fleur and Naz - and to say they are nervously excited
ahead of the final episodes screening is an understatement.
The women took part in a very intimate photo shoot for Scout last week in the Presidential Suite at the SkyCity Grand Hotel.
They stripped down to lacy underwear and sexy
sartorial outfits for a shoot that was more steamy than anything they
had done before.
We give you a brief taste today. There are a lot more piccies to follow in upcoming days.
But what became clear in that shoot, the bare truth, is that all
five remaining women are clever, capable, fun-loving and confident. It's
clear why they have made it to Jordan's top five - but there is one
that is head and shoulders above the rest.

On
the shoot, where Piper Heidsieck flowed, and the laughs flowed faster,
the women arrived one by one. Publicity restrictions were tight. The
girls weren't allowed to spend time together, and were on a military
schedule.
Gabs was a delight. If you could pick a
bachelorette to become a member of your girl squad, she would be it. She
posed in a variety of salacious shots and outfits, and oozed a strength
of confidence and independence that made us wonder why she'd need a
dating show at all.
She is not encumbered by insecurities, like some of the others.
Asked if she'd wear a sexy bodysuit to show off her
lithe, long legs, Gabs, who could see how high-cut the leotard was,
responded: "Sure, but don't shoot the love bite on my arse."
Naz pulled some killer poses. / Kate Dwek for ScoutNaz
arrived like she had been let loose in the playground. This girl is a
whirlwind of infectious energy and enthusiasm, and hanging out with her
is fun.
She is much more affectionate than the other bachelorettes, hugging and kissing the Scout crew and telling us how much she loves our website and social media pages. "I tag Scout in all the time on my Instagram posts," she says. "I love you guys."
Naz has flown up from Christchurch for the shoot especially, and while her time is the most limited, she is the one who is the most giving.
She dons a variety of outfits on her petite frame - seriously, she is tiny save for her enormous boobs, the result of breast enhancement surgery. She encourages us to touch her cleavage, and poses in intimate private selfies on the bed with our photographer, wearing just a bra.
Naz is delightful, and nothing as she appears on the show. Sure, she is supremely confident, but she is warm and gregarious with it. She is a strange combination of silly, frivolous fun matched with a fierce loyalty and determination. She abides by a code of honour, her code of honour, but you get the sense if you were a friend in trouble, Naz would be the first on the scene to sort out the mess.

Fleur oozed Marilyn Monroe on the shoot. / Kate Dwek for Scout
Fleur
was much more insular on the shoot, keeping to herself and incessantly
apologising for her lack of modelling prowess, as if she should be more
au fait in front of the camera.
Perhaps, because she is a hobby photographer, she
feels she should be more knowledgeable than the others about the
importance of a good frame.
Fleur is not as courageous as
the other bachelorettes in the wardrobe department, but she channels an
old worldly glamour better suited to the pin-up days of the 1950s, than
the millennial selfie brigade. She is warm and considerate, and shy.
She sticks to herself but she oozes a muted and reticent charm that is
appealing.
Nonetheless, you get the sense it could be
Fleur who'll be the first to spill the beans when all the bachelorettes
gather for the special 'Women Tell All' event next week to reveal the
highs and lows, and behind-the-scenes secrets of the show.
The special event will be held at SkyCity Theatre on May 9, which will include a live-screening of the grand final of The Bachelor NZ and live filming of the women's private gossip session. Scout will be there on the night covering all the action, and hosting a private celebrity party with all the bachelorettes and Jordan.
Erin's taut tummy had the Scout crew completely envious. / Kate Dwek for Scout
Erin is perhaps the softest and most reserved of the group. While Fleur seemed, at times, too hung up on insecurities about modelling, Erin was so relaxed she was horizontal - literally.
In one pose, reclining on a leather settee in the SkyCity Grand Hotel, Erin held the gaze of Kate our photographer, and you could hear the room fall silent. The crew, including stylists, makeup, hair, publicists (at one time, three!), all stood staring at the goddess in ivory.
Erin oozes a stillness, a strong sense of spiritual calm. She is self-assured but in a composed and chilled out way. Nothing is a bother. But she lacks the vivaciousness of Gabs, Kate and Naz whose personalities held the room captive.
Will Mike Puru, who is hosting the 'Women Tell All event', be able to get much out of Erin? She seems a bit of a closed book. Will she talk candidly about the bachelorettes' time in the mansion and share some truths about the dating and heartbreak?
Kate ripped the fabric on a lounge suite. / Kate Dwek for Scout.
Kate
arrived in a whirlwind. Her time was most limited on the photo shoot
and in her rush, she accidentally caused some damage to a very expensive
chaise longue in the Presidential suite.
RRRRIIPPPP was the sound of Kate's high-heel going through the fabric of the settee as she reclined for a shot.
Kate was horrified. "F***, I've ripped the chair!"
she said, her hand clasping her mouth in terror and her cheeks going a
distinct colour of crimson.
"Ohmigod!!! I can't believe I just did that! I am such a klutz!"
The
bubbly blonde has earned the nickname "Bridget Jones" on the show for
all her clumsy encounters and lip entanglements, after the fictional
heroine. Her blunder here, while an accident, was in keeping with her
undexterous personality.
Kate apologised profusely and
offered to pay for the damage. A SkyCity rep, who fortuitously happened
to be on set at the time, was gracious and understanding. It certainly
livened up the shoot.
