Man bailed after arrest on suspicion of murdering baby boy

A man who was arrested on suspicion of murdering a baby boy has been has been released on police bail. 
The man was detained in connection with the murder of the three-month-old in the Boscombe area of Dorset.

The boy died in hospital on Saturday morning after succumbing to injuries sustained in an incident at a flat in Carysfort Road.
Detective Inspector Richard Dixey, of the major crime investigation team, confirmed that a murder investigation had been launched, adding that the circumstances were being treated as ‘suspicious’.
A spokesman for Dorset Police confirmed today that the man had been released until the middle of May pending further inquiries.
A post mortem examination is due to take place in due course.
