Ah, it looks like the single life for Paris Hilton once again.
Hilton has split from her Austrian boyfriend, Thomas Gross, after a year of dating, reports Life & Style.
A source cited to L&S the usual “busy work schedules and long distance” difficulties in their relationship, but stated that they “are both friends and remain close.”
The insider added, “They care for each other but work and the distance just got in the way. She will be back in Ibiza for her DJ residency all summer and he has to be in Switzerland for his work, it’s an impossible situation.”
The two met in Cannes in 2015 and spent the summer in Ibiza together when she was DJing there. In February, Paris gushed to E! News about Gross, “I just feel like I’m in a different place in my life. I live in Switzerland now. I’m in love. I don’t know, I finally feel like myself. It’s exciting. [I’m] genuinely happy.”
But now, the hotel heiress really wants to be closer to home to be there for her sister, Nicky Hilton, who is having her first baby later this year. “Paris is very close with her family and her sister Nicky Hilton is about to have a baby. She really wants to be there for her and be an aunt. It broke her heart being so far away from family.”
Judging from Paris’ recent Instagram post from Coachella, she’s handling the split pretty well.
