The Met Ball is one of the biggest fashion events of the year, and there’s always guaranteed to be at least one person who pushes the envelope with a major style risk. As the 2016 Gala approaches, take a look back at the sexiest and most revealing looks of all time right here!
Even at the most elegant events, there’s
always a classy way to show some skin — and that’s exactly what these
ladies have done at past Met Balls! The 2016 Met Gala is coming up on
May 2, and to prepare for the big event, we’re reminiscing on some of
the barest ensembles worn in the past. Click through the gallery and
check ’em out now!
It seems that every year, the ladies get more
and more willing to bare it all, and in 2015, the dresses were sexier
than ever. Who could forget Beyonce’s completely sheer ensemble, with nothing but carefully placed beading covering her up in all the right places? Kim Kardashian went for a similar look in a sheer and nude ensemble, with absolutely breathtaking, intricate beaded detailing. Oh, and there’s a feather train…because who else besides Kim could pull that off?!
Also picking up on the sheer trend was Jennifer Lopez, who went commando in a sheer gown with embellished, red fabric. Just like the ensemble’s designer Donatella Versace promised, this look was “great from the front and even better from the back. Phew!
And Kendall Jenner may not have went sheer for the 2015 Gala, but she rocked a sexy look all of her own, flaunting major side boob in a glittering, green Calvin Klein gown, with side cutouts all the way down to her waist!
There were shocking looks other years, too, though! Rihanna flaunted her insane abs (and nipples!) in
a tight, white top and matching, high-waisted skirt. The design of the
outfit also allowed her to show off some major skin from behind, too. SO
sexy! Chrissy Teigen’s backless, silver dress from that year was also one we’ll always remember!
