Happy birthday, Princess Charlotte! The second child of Kate Middleton and Prince William turned 1 years old on May 2 and we could not be more excited for the royal family to celebrate! We’re sure her big day will be BEYOND adorable.
Kate even opted out of having a second nanny for George and Charlotte right away, and instead had her own mother, Carole Middleton, 61, care for her new baby
— SO sweet! We love how Kate seems to have taken a very practical
approach to raising her two children. Charlotte is one lucky little
girl!
And finally, after much anticipation, baby Charlotte’s first-ever royal portrait
was revealed on June 6. And honestly, it was even better than we could
have imagined! The shot featured Prince George holding his sister while
lovingly looking down at her — aw! At only five weeks old, the princess
ALREADY looked completely regal dressed in all white. The royals even
made history with this photoshoot as one pic showed Prince George giving his little sister a sweet kiss on the head. It was the first time a royal heir had ever been photographed kissing a younger sibling!
Princess Charlotte’s royal christening in July was also quite an affair as it was led by Queen Elizabeth II and
filled with many royal traditions. For example, Charlotte wore a
replica of the original satin and lace garment that was made for Queen Victoria‘s first child in 1841 — obviously she looked adorable!
Fast forwarding to November, a second royal portrait of the
princess was revealed and this time we got to see Charlotte pictured all
by herself! The cutie was wearing a floral print dress with a white
frilled collar, a pink cardigan, and wool tights — SO precious!
Even cuter, when the royal family took a ski trip in March,
little Charlotte tagged along, and boy did she look absolutely adorable
all bundled up for the snow! The fam’s French Alps vacay seemed to be
filled with amazing memories and we just love how they took a few photos
of the fun to share with the public. We just know Charlotte’s second
year will be even better than the last and we are so happy for the royal
family on this very special day!
